Ben's First Cold

Unfortunately, Ben has his first cold. We made it almost 26 months without him ever getting sick. I mean, never even getting a fever or a runny nose. He woke up in the middle of the night, coughing and congested. Today, he has had a runny nose and occasional cough but otherwise he seems fine. He has been playful and having fun with our company.

I have always been grossed out by little kids with snot smeared all over their faces and sleeves. I don't think Ben is going to be one of those kids. He likes he nose wiped as soon as it starts running and if you aren't quick enough, he will get his own tissue and wipe it himself.

I am hoping that this is just a little cold and that he will be back to his normal self in a couple of days. I'm also hoping that he doesn't pass it along to any of us.

Update: This morning Ben seems to be feeling a lot better. He slept all night long without too much coughing. He only seems to have a little bit of a runny nose now. He is downstairs playing t-ball with dad and Grandma right now, acting perfectly fine.
