Jack's growing up

Jack is 4 months old now and changing every day. He is really starting to develop a personality and it couldn't be more different than Ben's. Jack is very calm and easy going. He doesn't require much attention and is content pretty much all day long. He sleeps 11-12 hours a night and takes about 4 hours worth of naps a day (either two 2 hour naps or one 4 hour nap). He is eating 4 times a day. He fits into size 6 month clothes already and size 2 diapers. He is really chubby and has lots of rolls, which I love. He is starting to take an interest in toys and putting things in his mouth. He has no desire for a pacifier but loves to suck on his fingers. He smiles a lot, especially if you smile at him. He doesn't talk that much. Every once in awhile, he will let out a giggle. He likes to watch what his brother is doing. He gets excited when he sees his bottle. He rolls over all of the time. He prefers to sleep on his belly. Hardly ever cries.

He truly is a wonderful baby.

Starting to sit up on his own. A bit more practice and he'll be good to go.

Not surprising to find his fingers in his mouth

Hard to resist this face

His head control is getting so good

It looks like he is going to have eyes like Ben

We are going in tomorrow for Jack's 4 month appointment. I will update afterwards with his stats.

Ben is wild

These two videos are from one evening last week while we were at Drew's parents house. Every night when Cary got home from work, Ben would run to him and want to play right away. After dinner, the two of them would play outside for a couple of hours. It's not an easy job keeping up with Ben.

I will update tomorrow, I promise.

Drew made it home this afternoon, thank goodness. It was a long two weeks but we had fun visiting with my sister and baby Luke the first week and then spending the second week with Drew's parents.

Ben, Jack and Luke

Drew left on Sunday morning for two weeks of military training. Luckily, we've had my sister, Sarah and baby Luke here to keep us company.

They were pretending to be asleep

A few more from our trip

I know we've been back from our trip down south for almost a month now but there are a few pictures from our last couple of days down there that I wanted to put up.

We spent the morning with my Grandparents. This was their first time seeing Jack.

Jack is their third Great Grandchild

I think this one is pretty funny

These are the moments that I love

I love seeing my two boys together...

I love Ben's silliness and Jack's sweet smile...

I love how easy going Jack is...

I love watching Drew with his son...

I love to see Ben having fun...

Fireworks

I am just now getting around to posting old pictures and videos. These are from when we saw fireworks on the 4th of July. We got to the park about 2.5 hours before they started to get a good spot. Ben kept us entertained while we waited.

Dad's Home

I took this video yesterday to show you all what it is like when Dad gets home in the evening.

After dinner, we went over to the splash park for Ben to play in the water (Jack did get his feet a little wet also). That is why the boys are in their bathing suits.

He's going, and going, and going

Jack surprised us this evening when he did this (it's at the end of the video)...

Oh how he's changed

Happy 4th of July

I hope all of you are having a great weekend. We have been pretty busy but still enjoying ourselves. This evening, we will be taking the boys to watch fireworks. This will be Ben's first time seeing them and I think he is going to love them.

I was hoping to get some good pictures of the boys together this morning but Ben made that difficult. Therefore, I have a lot of pictures of Jack and a couple of them together. I will try again later. Maybe after Ben has a good nap, he will be more likely to participate. It might take bribing him with something.

We have a roller

For awhile, Jack has rolled over here and there. Nothing was very consistent so I didn't make a big deal about it. The past few days though, Jack has been rolling over nonstop. Anytime I lay him on his back, within a few minutes, he is on his belly. Unfortunately, he doesn't know how to roll back to his back so he will start to get upset after being on his tummy for awhile.
