The boys

Some recent pictures of the boys (from last Thursday)

This is such an accurate picture of a normal evening in our house.
Ben being silly, Drew and Jack in the background, a pile of laundry.

And by that I mean getting into things he shouldn't.

Our favorite errand to run

The boys and I probably go to Target two or three times a week. Usually we end up walking through the whole store, ending in the toy or sports section. It's always a fun outing for Ben and I and Jack just goes along for the ride. We were there yesterday and ben insisted on wearing a batting helmet.

Oh my how he is growing up

At the park yesterday, Ben was being fearless while playing. Of course it made me a little nervous.

Jack in the cozy coupe

I can't believe he is old enough to be playing outside with Ben and I. By spring, he will be walking everywhere and joining in on everything.

A visit with my mom and Tom

A couple of weeks ago, my mom and Tom came up for a visit. I really love having my mom here, spending time with her and the little things she does for me (like an organized utensil drawer, a clean refrigerator and a bunch of other things around the house she does). The boys also had a lot of fun with Grandparents here.

Amazing we were actually able to get some good pictures of everyone looking at the camera and smiling

What is going on in this house?

I have always prided myself on having an amazing immune system. I never got sick. I didn't have to worry about sore throats, fevers or throwing up. Ben was taking after me and stayed healthy for his first three years of life. The past five weeks, everything has changed. We have all been sick one or two times, experiencing every symptom in the book. The latest to hit our house... the flu. I have never had the flu. I never want to get it again. I am on day 4 and it has completely wiped me out. Poor Ben has had it for the last week. Jack is just now starting to show signs of it. Drew had a flu shot so we'll see if he gets it. In the meantime, he is taking care of us all. Just how we all wanted to spend his three day weekend. He was gone for work for a week, got back Thursday right as I was starting to feel sick.

I hope this is the end of our sick run and we go back to our old immune systems soon.

Ben throwing a tantrum

I got a new phone the other day and now I can put pictures I take with my phone directly on the blog without using the computer. Pretty neat.

Last day of vacation

Ben woke up feeling a little better on our last day in Florida. Our plane didn't leave until 4:30 so we had plenty of time in the morning to get packed up and head to the airport. As we were getting ready to leave our room for the last time, I realized I never took any pictures of our room. So here you get to see it after it's been lived in for a week.

Drew spent quite a bit of time throughout the week taking work related calls

After we checked out, we had lunch and played at the hotel for a couple of hours. You'll notice that we are finally not wearing jackets. Yep, the day we left the weather finally warmed up.

He's so cute. Makes me smile.

Checking out the animals for the last time at the main viewing area.

Goodbye hotel. We had fun while we stayed there.

Once we got to the airport, it was pretty rough. The Orlando airport needs to work on their organization. Thankfully we made our flight (barely) and Ben slept the whole way home. It was sad to see our vacation come to an end but good to be home. I hope that we will be able to go back in a few years when the boys are both old enough to enjoy it. Maybe all the Grandparents will want to come along. It was priceless to see Ben's face light up with excitement. Many memories were created. I love being with my family

Next I will be working on uploading all of our videos. Stay tuned...

Day 7 of vacation

This was our last full day of vacation and by this day, I think we were all ready to go home. The day got off to a rough start when I was awoken at 1:30am as Ben proceeded to throw up on my head and down my back several times. My reflexes aren't that great when I am half asleep. We got him cleaned up and put him in the other bed and ten minutes later, he threw up in that bed. So now we had two beds that were dirty. We had to wait for clean bedding to be delivered before we could all go to sleep again. When we woke up in the morning, Ben wasn't feeling his best but luckily he was no longer throwing up. We got a late start to the day and headed out at lunch time. I was praying that Ben didn't get sick on the bus ride.

Just a little warning that the pictures are not that great from this day. Ben was not being cooperative and we were all tired.

Drew eating lunch

I look tired here

Poor Ben didn't want to eat or drink anything all day

This is a 16 foot gingerbread house. Drew wanted to eat a piece of it.

Ben took this one of me

At each of the parks they had baby care centers with changing areas, high chairs, rocking chairs and everything else that you would need for a baby. We used these a lot.

By late afternoon, he was starting to perk up a little. We took him on Pirates of the Caribbean again to cheer him up.

Waiting for the last parade of our trip. Unfortunately, Ben slept through the whole thing

This is how our night ended
