11 Months Old

In one month, our baby is going to be a year old! I  think both Drew and I will agree that it's been the best year of our lives so far. We cannot imagine our life without Ben in it and you forget about the sleepless nights, nonstop crying and the dirty diapers when he does something for the first time, curls up next to you or smiles big enough to show off his new teeth.

Life is going to get busy starting next week lasting through the holidays. We are leaving next Saturday for California for ten days. We will be spending Thanksgiving with Drew's family and then celebrating Ben's birthday two weeks early with his birthday party. I think the party is more for me than him since all he is going to care about is cake and toys. We return home just three weeks before Christmas. We will be busy with decorating our house, celebrating Ben's birthday with our family here, Christmas shopping and just enjoying our first holiday season all together. Even though we were very blessed last Christmas with Drew staying safe in Iraq and Ben continuing to get better every day in the nicu, we weren't together which is going to make this Christmas even more special.
