Day 6 of vacation

I'm slowly finishing up our vacation report. Tuesday was spent at the Animal Kingdom which is a mix between a zoo and theme park. Lots of animals but lots of rides too.

We had to get there early since we had 9am breakfast reservations at Donald's safari breakfast. It was freezing that morning. We were so cold while waiting for the bus and walking outside. By the time we got seated, we were so happy to be inside a warm building.

Ben got his share of Mickey waffles throughout the week

The first one to stop by our table was Goofy

He made it over to Jack also. Jack didn't know what to think of him.

Ben was getting excited as Mickey made his way over to our table

Ben got a birthday cupcake (and a card signed by all the characters which he thought was the coolest thing)

After breakfast we went on a safari ride and saw tons of animals up close

The baby giraffe was so cute

By this time, we were still so cold so we headed back to the hotel for a couple of hours to rest and put on more clothing. I took Ben down to do some cookie decorating which the hotel had for the kids every day. Ben was decorating a giraffe.

He took it back to the room to share with dad. Ben and Jack playing for a bit before we headed back to the park.

Watching the parade

There was a glass between us and the tiger but it was neat to be so close to it

Jack slept on me while we road the train around the park

Back in the room, Ben playing games on dad's phone

His cheeks are still a little windblown. I cannot say enough how easy going Jack was on the whole trip. He made it so much easier for us to handle taking both boys on a weeklong trip.

Day 5 of vacation

We got a late start on Monday and didn't head out until 11am where we were going to spend the day at Epcot. It was so cold and windy. With windchill, it was in the high 20s throughout the day.

Waiting for the bus

The first thing we did was head to our lunch reservations.

Some of Ben's favorites: milk, hotdog and french fries

To top off Ben's meal, it came with a make your own ice cream sundae. We all enjoyed that one.

Jack's poor red cheeks were wind blown

Drew looking at swords in the Japan showcase (Epcot is divided into two sections, the future world and the world showcases. In the world showcases, there are about 15 countries that each have their own section representing that country.)

There was a Finding Nemo building that we spent a lot of time in.

I tried to get all four of us in the picture

Still smiling even in the cold

We enjoyed the times Ben would take a nap in the stroller. It meant that we could walk around and see the thing Ben wouldn't have wanted to.

There was a huge exhibit called Innoventions that was full of hands-on activities. We spent a lot of time in there, not only because we had fun but because it was warm in there.

We waited in line to see Ben's best friend again. This time, you waited in one line and got to see all the characters at once. First up was Mickey.

The boys are always grabbing something

Look at Jack's face. I don't know what is going on there.

Next up was Mickey's dog, Pluto

and then Minnie Mouse

and Donald Duck

and lastly Goofy

After dinner, Drew and I took turns and each went on a ride that we wanted to try but the boys weren't able to go on. It was a lot of fun but kind of sad to go on by myself. We finished the evening off back in the Finding Nemo building one more time. The boys enjoyed the huge aquarium with the dolphins.
